Second Sea is where Re:AOPG stops being a tutorial and starts being an RPG. The first sea holds your hand through basic combat, but Second Sea demands that you understand Devil Fruit synergies, Haki timing, and fighting-style switching. This guide covers every unlock requirement, every island, every boss, and the most efficient level 1–500 route through the region.

How to Unlock Second Sea

Before you can travel to Second Sea, you must satisfy all of the following:

1. Reach level 50 — The minimum level to enter the Second Sea portal on Marineford.
2. Defeat 3 First Sea World Bosses — Any three unique World Boss kills from the First Sea rotation.
3. Complete the Arlong Park quest line — The Arlong boss must be defeated on your account at least once.
4. Defeat Mihawk at Marineford — The Mihawk raid counts toward your World Boss requirement, but you must personally deal the killing blow.
5. Own at least 2 Devil Fruits — Your inventory must contain at least 2 Devil Fruits (the second can be any tier).

The Second Sea portal is located at Marineford, east gate. Look for the glowing blue warp pad. The loading screen will say “Traveling to Second Sea.”

Second Sea Islands and What to Do on Each

Logue Town

Logue Town is the hub of Second Sea. It is the safe zone where you spend most of your downtime between raids and grinding sessions.

Key NPCs:

• Devil Fruit Merchant — Sells a random Legendary fruit for 25,000,000 Beli. Resets every server restart. The most reliable path to a Legendary without trading.
• Haki Trainer — Rayleigh appears here after you unlock Armament Haki from the First Sea. He teaches Advanced Armament Haki for 50,000,000 Beli.
• Stat Resetter — Resets your stat distribution for 5,000 gems. Useful if you built the wrong distribution for your chosen fruit.

Tips: Logue Town is also where most Second Sea events spawn. Check the event calendar on the event hub before grinding.

Marineford

Marineford is the largest island in Second Sea and the location of the game’s hardest raids.

Key content:

• Akainu raid — Drops the Magma (Magu Magu no Mi) fruit. Akainu has two phases: a magma-pool AoE and a final volcanic eruption enrage. Bring Ice-type fruits or a tank build.
• Kizaru raid — Drops the Light (Pika Pika no Mi) fruit. Kizaru moves at high speed and uses beam attacks that pierce through walls. Stay mobile.
• Blackbeard raid — Drops the Dark (Yami Yami no Mi) fruit. Blackbeard has a 3-minute enrage timer and nullifies Devil Fruit abilities within his radius. Bring Haki-focused builds.
• Whitebeard raid — Drops the Quake (Gura Gura no Mi) fruit. Whitebeard is the longest fight in Second Sea. His tsunami attack covers the entire arena. Climb to high ground immediately.

Tips: The Marineford raids share a lockout timer of 2 hours. If you clear Akainu, you cannot enter Kizaru for 2 hours. Plan your raid rotations accordingly.

Whole Cake Island

Whole Cake Island is the crafting and accessory hub of Second Sea.

Key content:

• Big Mom boss — The most mechanically demanding boss in Second Sea. She has three phases: a confectionery AoE, a soul-extraction debuff, and a homie swarm. Soul-type fruits deal bonus damage to Big Mom.
• Candy Factory crafting station — Crafts legendary accessories from materials gathered in Second Sea. The crafting recipes are on the accessory tier list.
• Gem merchant — Sells 500 gems for 10,000,000 Beli. Useful if you are low on gems after buying stat resets.

Skypiea

Skypiea is where you unlock the most powerful fighting styles in the base game.

Key content:

• Sword Saint unlock — The Skypiea Upper Yard trainer teaches Sword Saint after a 90-minute quest chain. Sword Saint is the top-tier base fighting style for the entire game. Every serious build uses it.
• Rokuogan unlock — The Skypiea Upper Yard trainer also teaches Rokuogan after a separate 60-minute quest chain. Rokuogan is the strongest ranged style in the base game.
• Cloud Beast raids — Three unique cloud beast bosses that drop Skypiean crafting materials and rare accessories.

Tips: The Skypiea quest chain requires level 100 minimum. Do not attempt it before hitting 100, or the trainer NPC will refuse to engage.

Fishman Island

Fishman Island is the underwater hub and the home of Fishman Karate.
