Re:AOPG Haki Mastery Guide
From basic Armament Haki to Full Body Haki — every technique explained.
Haki is the equalizer in Re:AOPG. No matter how powerful your Devil Fruit or how refined your fighting style, Haki determines whether you land hits, absorb damage, or get one-shot by a surprise attack. This guide covers every Haki type, the unlock process for each, and the combat applications that separate average players from end-game raid clearers.
The Three Haki Types
Re:AOPG features three Haki types, each with distinct combat applications:
| Haki | Color | Effect | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Armament Haki | Black | Coats attacks in armor-piercing force. Reduces enemy defense per hit. | First unlock |
| Observation Haki | Purple | Detects invisible enemies, predicts attacks, grants dodge windows. | Second unlock |
| Full Body Haki | White | Entire body is armored. Massive defense boost + counter-attack window. | End-game only |
Armament Haki — The Foundation
Armament Haki is the first Haki you unlock and the one you use in every single fight for the rest of the game.
Basic Armament Haki
Unlock: Talk to Rayleigh on Random Wilderness (First Sea) at level 50+. Cost: Free for basic unlock.
Basic Armament Haki coats your equipped melee weapon or fist in black armament. The coating adds flat damage to every hit and is the only way to damage bosses that have the “Haki-resistant” property.
Advanced Armament Haki
Unlock: Return to Rayleigh at Logue Town (Second Sea) at level 100+. Cost: 50,000,000 Beli.
Advanced Armament Haki adds the defense-reduction property. Each hit reduces the target’s physical defense by 15%, stacking up to 5 times (75% total reduction). Against raid bosses with high armor, this is the difference between a 5-minute fight and a 15-minute fight.
Combat application: Open every combo with a basic attack, then switch to an Armament Haki-coated attack for the defense reduction stack. Do not waste the initial hits — apply the stack before you use your biggest ability.
Emission Armament Haki
Unlock: Complete the Rayleigh special quest at Skypiea Upper Yard (level 200+). Cost: 100,000,000 Beli + 500 gems.
Emission Armament Haki lets you project the Haki coating as a ranged projectile. The projectile travels in a straight line, pierces terrain, and applies the full defense reduction on hit.
Combat application: Emission Haki is the ranged opener for Sword Saint builds. It lets you apply the defense reduction stack from outside melee range, then close in with the sword combo.
Observation Haki — The sixth sense
Observation Haki is the defensive Haki that tells you when to dodge, where invisible enemies are, and when a boss is about to use a one-hit ability.
Basic Observation Haki
Unlock: Complete the Haki trial on Kourend Island (First Sea) at level 75+. Cost: Free, but requires 3 Kourend quest completions.
Basic Observation Haki activates automatically when enemies enter your detection radius. You see a purple ”!” indicator above hidden or invisible enemies. The prediction window is approximately 0.5 seconds before the attack lands.
Advanced Observation Haki
Unlock: Complete the special observation trial at Fishman Island (Second Sea) at level 150+. Cost: 75,000,000 Beli.
Advanced Observation Haki extends the prediction window to 1.2 seconds and adds a visual telegraph system — you see the direction of incoming attacks 1.2 seconds before they land. It also reveals stealthed enemies (like ambush NPCs in the Marineford raids) at 50 meters.
Combat application: In raid bosses, the 1.2-second window is long enough to dodge even the fastest one-hit mechanics. When you see the purple telegraph, dodge immediately. Do not wait to see the attack — the telegraph IS the warning.
Future Sight Observation Haki
Unlock: Complete the Rayleigh V2 trial at Whole Cake Island (Second Sea) at level 300+. Cost: 150,000,000 Beli + 1,000 gems.
Future Sight Observation Haki predicts attacks up to 3 seconds in advance. It also highlights enemy attack patterns in slow motion for 1 second before the attack connects.
Combat application: Future Sight is the reason top-tier PvPers can dodge Sukuna’s domain expansion and Gojo’s Infinity. The 3-second prediction gives you time to reposition, block, or prepare a counter-attack.
Full Body Haki — The End-Game Armor
Full Body Haki is the rarest and most powerful Haki in Re:AOPG. It transforms your entire body into armament-coated rubber, granting massive defense and a counter-attack window.
Unlock Requirements
- Level 400 minimum.
- All three advanced Haki types unlocked.
- Complete the God Valley raid.
- Defeat Shanks at Red Hair Island (World Boss).
- Own a Mythical-tier Devil Fruit or a Legendary fruit with awakening.
The unlock quest begins with Rayleigh at Whole Cake Island. He sends you to God Valley for a trial that takes 2–4 hours to complete.
Full Body Haki Abilities
| Ability | Effect | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| Body Coating | +40% damage reduction on all hits for 30 seconds. | 60 seconds |
| Haki Counter | Reflects 100% of physical damage back to attacker for 5 seconds. | 90 seconds |
| Conqueror’s Aura | Knockback all enemies within 20 meters. Stuns for 2 seconds. | 120 seconds |
Combat Application
Full Body Haki is a raid tool, not a general PvP tool. The 30-second damage reduction window is long enough to tank a raid boss’s enrage phase. The Haki Counter is the best single counter to Sukuna and Gojo in structured PvP because it reflects their domain damage.
Do not use Full Body Haki as an opener. The long cooldowns mean you want to wait until the fight’s critical moment — the enrage timer, the domain activation, the raid boss’s final phase.
Haki Priority by Level
| Level | Haki Goal |
|---|---|
| 50 | Unlock basic Armament Haki |
| 75 | Unlock basic Observation Haki |
| 100 | Unlock Advanced Armament Haki |
| 150 | Unlock Advanced Observation Haki |
| 200 | Unlock Emission Armament Haki |
| 300 | Unlock Future Sight Observation Haki |
| 400 | Unlock Full Body Haki |
Full Haki Build Recommendations
The best Haki-focused builds:
- Sword Saint + Advanced Armament — Emission Haki extends Sword Saint’s already long range. The defense reduction stacks make every sword swing hit harder than the last.
- Death Step + Observation Haki — Future Sight + Death Step dash is the fastest repositioning combo in PvP. You can dodge, repositions, and re-engage in under 2 seconds.
- Any build + Full Body Haki — Full Body Haki works as a defensive layer on top of any build. If you are above level 400, it should be your first priority over any new fruit or style.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Re:AOPG questions.
What is the fastest way to level up Haki in Re:AOPG?
The fastest Haki XP route is the Kourend Island quest loop for Observation Haki and the Rayleigh special quest at Skypiea for Armament Haki. Both award 3x the Haki XP of standard combat. Complete the loops 20 times per day for steady Haki progression.
Which Haki should I unlock first?
Armament Haki first. Every end-game build requires it, and the defense reduction from Advanced Armament Haki is the single biggest damage increase in the game. Observation Haki is the second priority for the dodge windows against raid boss one-hit abilities.
Does Full Body Haki work with every Devil Fruit?
Yes. Full Body Haki coats your entire body, not your Devil Fruit attacks. However, Mythical-tier fruits and awakened Legendary fruits get a 20% damage bonus when Full Body Haki is active because their damage scales with body stat rather than attack stat.
Can I use Haki while transformed by a Devil Fruit?
Yes. All Haki types work while a Devil Fruit is active. In fact, the Armament Haki coating on a Mythical fruit attack deals more damage than the fruit attack alone because Haki bypasses the fruit's natural resistance from enemy Devil Fruit immunity.
