Re:AOPG Races

Races are one of the three big character decisions in Re:AOPG. Your race locks in your starting stats and grants a fighting-style bonus that shapes your entire build. This page covers every race, the exact bonuses, and the meta build for each.

Human

• Stat bonus: Largest base stat pool. No combat bonus.
• Best fighting styles: Dark Step, Rokushiki Ate, Sword Saint.
• Best Devil Fruits: Yami Yami, Pika Pika, Gura Gura.
• Meta build: Dark Dark + Dark Step + Human - the classic PvP build.
• Why pick Human: Largest stat pool means you can run any build without losing scaling. The safest pick for new players.

Fishman

• Stat bonus: +25% damage with Fishman Karate and Fishman Jujutsu.
• Best fighting styles: Water Kung-Fu, Fishman Karate, Fishman Jujutsu.
• Best Devil Fruits: Magma Magma, Mera Mera, Goro Goro.
• Meta build: Magma Magma + Water Kung-Fu + Fishman - the grinder build.
• Why pick Fishman: Fastest XP route in Patch 5.4. Best for free-to-play players.

Mink

• Stat bonus: +15% speed, +15% damage with Soru and Rokushiki Ate.
• Best fighting styles: Soru, Rokushiki Ate, Rokushiki Rankyaku.
• Best Devil Fruits: Pika Pika, Goro Goro, Pika Pika no Mi.
• Meta build: Light Light + Electro + Mink - the speed build.
• Why pick Mink: Strongest 1v1 PvP combo in the game. Best for players who love hit-and-run tactics.

Skypiean

• Stat bonus: +20% agility, +20% damage with Sword Saint.
• Best fighting styles: Sword Saint, Dark Step, Rokushiki Soru.
• Best Devil Fruits: Eastern Dragon, Quake Quake, Pika Pika.
• Meta build: Eastern Dragon + Sword Saint + Skypiean - the Patch 5.4 meta.
• Why pick Skypiean: Highest single-target melee DPS ceiling. The strongest race for the current meta.

Cyborg

• Stat bonus: +12% flat damage to every fighting style.
• Best fighting styles: Any style works well on Cyborg.
• Best Devil Fruits: Any Mythic-tier fruit.
• Meta build: Quake Quake + Rokushiki Ate + Cyborg - the boss-killer build.
• Why pick Cyborg: The safest “good at everything” pick. Great if you plan to play multiple fighting styles.

Hybrid (Chainsaw Man Gate)

• Obtain: Race reroll only - you cannot spawn as Hybrid.
• Role: Required for the Chainsaw Man support style on Chainsaw Domain.
• Bonus focus: Extra health and health regeneration.

How to Reroll Your Race

If you make a mistake during character creation, the race-reroll NPC is in Orange Town. The cost is 5,000 gems, which is exactly what the RELEASE code gives you. Most players reroll at most once.

Which Race Is Best?

The “best” race depends on your playstyle:

• Free-to-play players who want fast XP: Fishman.
• PvP-focused players: Skypiean or Mink.
• Players who want to play every style: Cyborg.
• Players who want the safest pick: Human.
• Players who want the Patch 5.4 meta: Skypiean.

Later Races and V4

Human, Fishman, Mink, Skypiean, and Cyborg carry the first sea. Lunarian, Gear, Ultimate Slime, Awakened Saiyan, Bunny, Giant, and Seraphim arrive with essences and dungeon gates - not a shop spin. V4 is not a Gem reroll. It wants Poneglyphs, Pica Full-Body Haki, and the race-v4 chain. Guides: race V4 and Full-Body Haki.

Do not reroll at “level 10.” Fishman helps Udon Prison in Sea 2. Mink helps Soru in Marineford. Skypiean pays Observation trainers on Zou. Cyborg leads toward Ultimate Cyborg. Human stays honest for Bandits and Quest Dummy 1. World-boss essences do not drop from the Logue Town Fruit Dealer. Poneglyphs: tracker. After Sea 2, Old Xury changes island, not race.
